All of the 4 and 5-star hotels I have been looking into charge an extra person fee of $30 or more. Have you ever booked a room for 2 people and had extra people staying in the room? If so, which 4 or 5-star hotel was it? And what preventive measures did you take?

I’m assuming the busier hotels won’t be watching you come and go or counting towels. Please share your experiences and opinions whether good or bad…
