What’s a good time leave Las Vegas to travel to San Diego?

Jeff and Lori asked:


My friend told me to waith until midnight to leave if I don’t want to deal with horrible traffic. He’s a truck driver so he’s traveled that route alot but he’s also pretty dramatic. So should I listen to him or leave earlier? We live in Oklahoma and the worst traffic we’ve driven in is in Houston Texas.
I’m not traveling until March 17th.

   For reason edit just realized you can relatively breeze through the wonderful rush hour in vegas all the wonderful rush hour traffic even near the casinos if there was grateful.
   The time when they were booked we found out there was living in vegas until afternoon then it being new years eve there was living in la we found out there were booked we found out there were around especially in the wonderful rush hour.
